Rich Garti
Rich Garti is a native of NY, a city that inspired him to become fascinated with architecture and design. At an early age Rich showed interest in the architecture and design field. He has worked at several companies in the Tampa Bay area before coming to the International Academy of Design & Technology in 2000. He worked with the Interior Design department for 10 years as the technical coordinator. Determined to get back to his original passion of architecture and visualization design, Rich proposed the development of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) program. He is currently the department chair for the BIM program at the International Academy of Design & Technology – Online and proud to say that he developed the program.
Rich has an M.F.A. in Media Design Management from the Academy. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Visualization Technology and an Associate of Science in Computer Aided Drafting from ITT Technical Institute.
Besides freelance work with his own company, R.O.G. Enterprises, Rich is a current member of AUGI (Autodesk User Group International) and TBAUG (Tampa Bay Autodesk User Group). He is also an AutoCAD Certified Professional through Autodesk. These organizations keep him current on what occurs in the industry and gives him a cutting edge within the field.
He has written several tutorial books for the interior design technical courses at the Academy. His professional experiences include architectural drafting/design, computer hardware/software consulting and 3D visualization rendering. Rich plans to further develop the BIM program at the Academy and advance as a professional within his field. His aspiring personality and passion for his industry make him a true asset.
